On June 20, 2025, the second strategic session on the development of the Cluster Support Program was held at the Khmelnytskyi Children's School of Fine and Decorative Arts, which brought together representatives of key clusters in the region, experts, state and international partners. The event became part of a national initiative implemented by the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance at the request of Ministry of Economy of Ukraine with the support of the UCORD project in six pilot regions.
CLOTEX-HUB represented the region's light industry.
A detailed cluster analysis was conducted during the session, covering 6 existing clusters and 3 cluster initiatives.
The following priority industries have been identified for the Khmelnytskyi region:
- Footwear and apparel manufacturing;
- Greenhouse-based agricultural production;
- Tourism;
- IT sector.
During the discussion, participants identified key challenges facing clusters:
- Access to grants and fundraising mechanisms;
- Cluster management and governance;
- Knowledge exchange and best practices;
- Joint project development;
- Increasing productivity and operational efficiency.
Participants worked together to improve five key tools to support cluster development:
- Financial tools – grants, co-financing, investment access;
- Educational tools – training programs for cluster managers and members;
- Institutional tools – strengthening internal structures and partnerships;
- Innovation tools – encouraging the adoption of new technologies;
- Internationalization – facilitating cooperation with European networks and programs.
CLOTEX-HUB actively involved in the development of the cluster environment, the introduction of innovations and digital transformation in light industry.
Participation in such strategic sessions helps create a shared vision and align regional efforts with the national cluster policy — paving the way for a resilient, modern, and competitive fashion industry.
