CLOTEX-HUB JOINS THE INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM ON DIGITAL AND SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS FOR THE FASHION INDUSTRY IN SPAIN

From January 27 to 29, 2026, Oksana Zakharkevych, Coordinator of the European Digital Innovation Hub Clotex-HUB, participated in an international working meeting and training program held at the Igualada campus (Spain). The event brought together representatives of universities, clusters, and experts in innovation, sustainability, and digital technologies for the fashion industry.

The first day was dedicated to getting to know the Metaskills project, team, and tools, as well as discussing the role of digital skills in transforming the fashion industry.
Participants took part in workshops on sustainability in the fashion sector, tested VR and AR tools for education, and worked with carbon footprint indicators and practical exercises for educational programs.

The second day focused on practical solutions to reduce the environmental impact of textile production.
Topics discussed included VR solutions in materials, integration of digital tools into curricula, circular economy in fashion, and waste reduction. The format of interactive exercises and workshops allowed for a transition from theory to applied cases relevant to light industry.

The final day was dedicated to group work on transforming microqualifications into ready-made training modules for vocational and higher education.
Participants jointly developed a toolkit for teachers, summarized the results, and identified next steps for implementing the results. The program concluded with a visit to an industrial cleaning and recycling facility, which provided a practical understanding of environmental solutions in production processes.

Participation Clotex-HUB in such international events is an opportunity to integrate European practices of sustainable development, digital education, and innovation into Ukraine's light industry, strengthening the competitiveness of the industry and human capital.
