A team of teachers, graduate students and students of the Department of Technology and Design of Garments (Oksana Zakharkevych, Svitlana Kuleshova, Yulia Koshevko, Halyna Shvets, Lyudmila Bukhantsova, Olesya Ditkovska, Oksana Khasanova, Diana Khasanova, Vyacheslav Balabanov) visited the Kyiv Fashion International Fashion Festival, which was held on January 29-31, 2025 at the International Exhibition Center (Kyiv). The purpose of participation was to present the services of EDIH Clotex-HUB, which is the first digital Ukrainian hub to join the EDIH network of European Digital Innovation Hubs.
President and Chairman of the Board of the Association of Light Industry Enterprises "Ukrlegprom" Tetyana Izovit got acquainted in detail with the activities of EDIH Clotex-HUB, which is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises' clothing production through the digitalization of clothing production and the introduction of innovative technologies to ensure the entry of products into the European market, thus integrating into international value chains of products and services.
The exhibition also featured a workshop that consisted of several parts.
General introductory part. «Clotex–HUB – a new level of innovation for the garment business”. The speaker is the head of EDIH Clotex-HUB Oksana Zakharkevych, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Technology and Design of Garments, Head of the Research Department of Khmelnytskyi National University).
Block 1. Advanced training in the fashion industry.
Speaker: Galina Shvets, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Technology and Design of Garments, Cluster Manager of the Podolsk Fashion Cluster.
Block 2. Effective investment search.
Speaker: Lyudmila Bukhantsova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Technology and Design of Garments, project manager, expert in sustainable development of the fashion industry.
The first block presents a successful case study of the Fashion Training Center (training and retraining of personnel) for light industry. The second block presents successful cases of attracting grant funds for the garment business.
Kyiv Fashion is the largest international exhibition project, which has a long-standing successful history, preserving the best exhibition traditions. This event is the most authoritative forum in the field of the fashion industry of Ukraine. The fashion festival unites within a single forum the full range of specialized exhibitions of the light and textile industries, creating the most favorable conditions for covering several market segments at once. Results of the project team's participation: more than 40 workshop participants, 10 interested contacts-representatives of SMEs, 1 interview, 3 completed questionnaires-questionnaires (assessment of the level of digital maturity of enterprises), a certificate of participation in the International Exhibition, support of academic contacts with representatives of higher education institutions in the field of light industry and the fashion industry and, of course, useful experience.
