On February 6, 2025, the EU4Digital networking event on ICT innovation took place, during which representatives of digital innovation hubs (DIHs) from Romania, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Ukraine and Moldova shared practical advice on the creation and successful operation of DIHs.
Key recommendations include:
- Building on existing partnerships: Creating DIHs based on existing partnerships accelerates cooperation, as trust is already established and partners have experience working together.
- Bringing together the necessary experts: The involvement of stakeholders from academia, research institutions, and business associations in the DIHs consortium ensures the availability of the necessary expertise to provide services.
- Involvement of organizations with experience working with SMEs: This helps establish trust in DIHs services among small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Using clear language: It is important to communicate in a language that is understandable to customers, as overly academic language can be confusing to SMEs.
- Distribution of responsibility: All consortium partners should be held accountable for achieving key performance indicators, with clearly defined responsibilities.
- Close interaction with SMEs: This allows you to stay up to date with skills development needs as SMEs are constantly facing new challenges.
- Continuous development of competencies: DIHs must constantly improve their skills and knowledge, becoming more professional.
These tips can be useful for CLOTEXHUB in developing strategies and implementing best practices to support the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the textile industry.
