On October 1-2, 2025, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of North Macedonia held a large-scale regional summit in the city of Skopje Western Balkans Digital Summit 2025, dedicated to digital transformation, innovation and cooperation between the Western Balkans and the European Union. The event was attended by representatives of governments, international organizations, business, academia and civil society.

The summit agenda included topics such as digital government services, cybersecurity, digital wallets, and artificial intelligence technologies. Through ministerial roundtables, strategic panels, and networking sessions, participants exchanged experiences, presented projects, and sought partners for further cooperation.

CLOTEX-HUB joined this summit as a representative of Ukraine and a regional digital innovation hub. Our team had the opportunity to present Ukrainian developments in the field of digitalization, discuss current challenges and prospects in cooperation with the Balkan countries and the EU. We presented key projects implemented within the framework of CLOTEX-HUB, emphasizing their role in technology transfer, development of digital competencies and integration into European initiatives.
During panel discussions and networking meetings, the CLOTEX-HUB team discussed cooperation opportunities with participants from the Western Balkans. Particular attention was paid to the issues of how to create a favorable environment for digital innovations in the region, how to ensure interoperability of standards, how to support startups and small technology companies, as well as how to integrate Ukrainian solutions into the markets of the Balkan region.

Participation in the summit provided CLOTEX-HUB with a platform to strengthen ties with key digital innovation actors in Southern Europe and the Balkans. This was an important step in the international positioning of the hub, opening new partnerships and finding ways to jointly develop technological ecosystems.

CLOTEX-HUB participated in the summit with the support of the GIZ project “DT4SME”, funded by the German government (BMZ).
