On October 26, 2026, an international practical seminar titled "Test Before Invest in Practice: Exploring the TBI Journey" took place, bringing together representatives from the European network of Digital Innovation Hubs to share their experiences. The meeting focused primarily on analyzing real-world case studies of service implementation across various hubs, discussing successful solutions and challenges, and examining practices that fell short of expectations. Participants explored approaches to technology testing in detail, taking into account the specific needs of businesses, existing expertise, and the technical capabilities of the innovation hubs.
Digital transformation is a prerequisite for the competitiveness of a modern enterprise; however, the implementation of new technologies is invariably accompanied by financial risks. To address these challenges, the "Test Before Invest" service was introduced by Oksana Zakharkevych, coordinator of the Clotex-HUB project. This tool enables enterprises to evaluate the efficiency, technical capabilities, and potential benefits of innovations before making an investment decision.
During the seminar, special attention was paid to developing guidelines for the provision of "Test Before Invest" services. The examples and case studies shared by participants will help shape practical recommendations that account for the diverse operational models of the hubs, ensuring that future standards are as useful as possible for the entire network.
Such international meetings contribute to the formation of a common understanding of approaches to testing innovations and improve the quality of services for enterprises.
